Home Building Tip #2
It's sometimes easy to forget the decorative touch to your sim homes. But decoration is a real key to good looking rooms and outdoors.
Next time you build a home, or just move a sim into a home, remember to put flowers, sculptures and paintings throughout the house and boost your sims environment need.
Sometimes people think of sculptures and go big, but even the smallest of sculptures can really impact the look of a room!
Sprucing up your home, one step at a Time
This week in Sprucing up your home, we move to the Living room of our sims' homes. This room can be quite the place to be, or it could be quite the place to leave immediantly! So lets make sure its the first choice of the two! First things first, when looking towards carpeting, warm and plain are always nice. I usualy choose a tan or light brown. Wood isn't a bad choice either, as long as you keep it simple! Remeber to KISS. Keep It Simple Stupid! Muticolored carpets are usually not the best choice. We don't want distracting flooring in a common room.
As for the walls, simple is also good. Plain walls, or even walls with a little wood paneling and such will look great. Think of what colors of furniture you will be using as well so as to now throw off the room. After deciding on a wall color, furniture can start to be put in. Plenty of couch space ensures family's of countless night's spent togather with a good television show or movie. And well, duh a television!
Some other nice things to add to a living room include: A fireplace, a bookshelf, a sterio, end tables, coffee tables, and of course lighting. And then there's the decor! Paintings and flowers! The little touches of the room will really make in an enjoyable place for your sims to spend their time! That's all for this week. Next week we move on to more of the indoor rooms!
